This record was attempted on the set of our TV show filmed in China but was unsuccessful.
The record to beat was set by Vipin Seth (India) who was covered by a mantle of bees weighing 61.4 kg (136 lb 4 oz). It was calculated that 613,500 bees comprised the mantle. The record was set on 9 March 2009 at the Indian Agriculture Research Institute, New Delhi, India.
